Waxing Moon Circle is a teaching and working Circle with experienced, ordained clergy. In addition to our regular classes and seasonal rituals, our clergy may be available to serve the broader Pagan community in a pastoral and ceremonial capacity.
Seasonal Ritual
Waxing Moon Circle holds working rituals on the first Saturday after each Dark Moon, following the Wheel of the Year and the lunar calendar. These are participatory rituals in the British Traditional style, open to guests by invitation of a member.
Clergy & Life Passage Ceremonies
Our ordained clergy have experience officiating ceremonies that mark the significant thresholds of a human life. These are offered at the clergy member’s individual discretion and on a case-by-case basis, and are not guaranteed to any petitioner.
Handfastings
Pagan wedding ceremonies honoring the bond between partners, customized to reflect the spiritual path and intentions of those being wed.
Funerals & Crossings
Ceremonies to honor the dead and support the grieving, drawing on our tradition’s understanding of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
Blessings
Blessings for people, relationships, new endeavors, children, and other significant beginnings, offered with care and intention.
Home Cleansings
Ritual cleansing and blessing of homes and spaces, drawing on time-honored practices for clearing and consecrating a dwelling.
Baby Naming and Blessing ceremonies
Ceremonies to welcome a new child into the community, name godparents if chosen, and ask the blessings of the Old Ones upon their life and path. Note: We do not make our children Wiccan- they can choose to become Wiccan by their own free will, and pursue initiations upon age of reason.
Other Life Passages
We recognize that life holds many thresholds beyond the conventional. Speak with us about what you are navigating and we will consider whether we can help.
A Note on Our Approach
Waxing Moon Circle is a traditional initiatory community, not a public ministry. Our clergy serve first within our own Circle and its extended community. When we do offer services to those outside our immediate community, we do so as a genuine spiritual act — not as a transaction. We ask that all who approach us do so with that understanding.
