Links open in a new tab. We cannot vouch for the content of external sites, but list them as resources of potential interest to our community. Some old friends have gone quiet — we remember them where they stood.
We are also, unabashedly, bringing back the old-school links page. In an era of algorithmic feeds and walled gardens, there is something worth preserving in the simple, human act of saying: here are places we find worthwhile — go look.
Community & Networking
Circle Sanctuary
Founded in 1974 by Selena Fox. A Wiccan church, nature preserve, and long-established hub for Pagan community events, networking, and education.
Covenant of the Goddess (CoG)
One of the oldest and largest Wiccan religious organizations in the United States. WMC has historical connections to CoG through its extended community.
Mandragora Magika
A worldwide Wiccan and Pagan network with a particular focus on initiatory Wicca and British Traditional Wicca. One of the better post-WitchVox resources for finding covens and groups.
Meetup
Search “pagan,” “wicca,” or “witch” plus your location to find active local groups. Since WitchVox’s closure, Meetup has become one of the more reliable ways to find in-person Pagan community.
New Wiccan Church
An international Wiccan church with roots in British Traditional Wicca, dedicated to preserving and transmitting initiatory Wiccan lineages.
The Radical Faeries
A mostly gay, mostly male, mostly Pagan movement celebrating queer spirituality, community, and countercultural magic. Long a kindred spirit to the Bay Area Pagan community.
Reclaiming
A Bay Area-rooted tradition combining Goddess spirituality, magic, and political activism. Founded by Starhawk and Diane Baker in 1980. A neighbor tradition with deep local roots.
The Witches’ Voice (WitchVox)
witchvox.com — retired December 31, 2019 after 22 years of service.
For more than two decades, WitchVox was the internet’s hearth for the Pagan community worldwide. We list it here in memoriam. Its Facebook presence continues at The Witches’ Voice, Inc.
Lore & Learning
Learn Religions — Wicca & Witchcraft
A well-maintained general resource for newcomers. Covers etiquette, history, traditions, and practice at an introductory level. A reasonable first stop for seekers.
Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn (OSOGD)
Source of Sam Webster’s “Dharma Wrapper” article, which informs our Dedication of Merit practice. An accessible and intellectually serious ceremonial magic organization.
Patheos Pagan
A hub of Pagan writing and blogging from a wide range of traditions. Includes scholarly, devotional, and practical voices. Quality varies but breadth is excellent.
Sacred Texts Archive
A vast archive of religious, mythological, and occult texts in the public domain — from the Vedas to the Key of Solomon to Crowley to Celtic mythology. An essential reference library.
The Wild Hunt
The community’s newspaper of record. Covers Pagan news, events, legal issues, and community affairs worldwide. Has filled some of the void left by WitchVox’s news coverage.
Planetary Positions & Astronomical Data
Astro.com
Precise planetary positions, chart calculation, and astrological data. The standard reference for anyone working with planetary timing in magical practice.
Griffith Observatory
Los Angeles’s beloved public observatory. Astronomical data calculated for California time, plus sky reports and event information.
Time and Date — Moon Phases
Accurate moon phase calendar with local time calculations. Useful for planning circle dates, ritual timing, and tracking the lunar cycle month by month.
U.S. Naval Observatory — Astronomical Applications
Moon phases, sunrise and sunset times, eclipse data, planetary positions, and much more. Authoritative and precise. The old standby, still running strong.
South Bay & Local Community
South Bay Circles
Our local Pagan networking community in the South Bay Area. Members of WMC have long been active participants. Check their site for regional events and gatherings.
