Welcome to Waxing Moon Circle

A working and training Wiccan Circle meeting in the Mountain View–Palo Alto area of California since 1982. Our tradition draws from Grandma Julie, Alison Harlow, and the Andersons. Our rituals have visible parallels to British Traditional Wicca. We welcome guests to many of our activities.

When We Meet

Waxing Moon Circle gathers on the first Saturday after each Dark Moon.

Our schedule is designed to give newcomers time to settle in, share a meal, and find their footing before the ritual work begins.

Circle Night

5:00Doors open — potluck dinner
6:00Ritual discussion and set-up
8:00Ritual

Attire & Etiquette

Robes, festive attire, or comfortable street clothes are all welcome. Please arrive bathed and groomed — unlike some traditional covens, we do not provide a ritual bath on the premises.

No shoes and no smoking inside, please. If you are new to Pagan and Wiccan ritual etiquette, we encourage you to read up before attending — including the practices specific to Waxing Moon Circle.

Guests & Communication

We welcome guests to many of our activities. Those wishing to join our mailing list will receive an introductory questionnaire. Our email list is reviewed every Samhain; most non-members are dropped at that time unless they have been actively participating as guests. If you are interested in attending, please contact us to inquire.
